Orchid Path Shawl is a simple, yet beautiful sideways shawl worked in bright colors. The shawl is reminiscent of the variety of koi carp found as you meander along the pathways and over bridges of the botanical gardens at Konoko Falls. Enjoy nature with this shawl.
Orchid Path is a triangular, asymmetric shawl sideways worked from tip to tip in two colors and features a mosaic stitch pattern.
Break yarn at each color change. Work sts over old color to hide ends as you go to avoid a lot of ends to weave in at the end.
Ch 1 at beg of row does not count as a st.
Increase 1 st every row.
The techniques used are very simple and approachable, which make this shawl perfect for adventurous beginners.
The Zig Zag Mosaic pattern is charted out.

Hook: US size 7 (4.5 mm)
Extras: Tapestry needle
Gauge: 20 sts and 12 rows = 4” 10 cm in Hdc (blocked)
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but changes might result in a different yardage requirement.
