You’ve been there! You know when you have that single skein of precious yarn that you can’t imagine just knitting any ole’ pattern. Well, I had only the one skein of this yarn and wanted to make the very best of it.
Worked sideways in stockinette stitch with a lovely lace edging, the Mentzelia Shawlette allow you to use up every ounce of your precious single skein.
The lace pattern is also charted.
{SKILL LEVEL} Advanced Beginner
{FINISHED MEASUREMENT} 43” long and 14” deep (at widest point)
{MATERIALS}
Yarn: Anzula Ava (80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon); 330 yards/301 meters; Poppy – 1 skein
Needle: US 8 (5.0 mm) or size to obtain gauge
Extras: Yarn needle, stitch marker, scale.
Gauge: 22 sts and 24 rows = 4” in St st, blocked.
{PATTERN NOTES}
Mentzelia is worked sideways in St st with a lovely lace edging.
Weigh the yarn before casting on. Weigh remaining skein after increase section is complete.
Work even section until amount of yarn remain equals the amount of yarn used for the increase section. Work decrease section.
Work lace edging from chart (attached) or written directions.
