This literally made me cry

This literally made me cry

In my last post, I shared with you the title of my upcoming cozy mystery with a yarnie twist: Death by Drop Spindle!

Brief Synopsis: When a celebrated yarn shop owner is found dead, but that was only the beginning.

This week, one January 1st, I completed editing the draft and sent it off to my editor. This is a major step in the process, because this is the first time anyone will read my story. And while I love the characters, I'm also scared.

You can likely relate, maybe not exactly, but you've done scary things and survived.

So, while my heart was beating out of my chest and tears streamed down my face, I hit sent.

And now we wait.

In the meanwhile, I'm creating a Google form seeking beta readers. If you're not familiar with what a beta reader does and if it's right for you, I've provided a brief definition below. If that's you, watch your inbox for more details coming soon.

A beta reader is a test reader of an unreleased work of writing, typically literature, who gives feedback to the author from the point of view of an average reader. This feedback can be used by the writer to fix remaining issues with plot, pacing, and consistency. The beta reader also serves as a sounding board to see if the work has the intended intellectual or emotional impact on the target market. ~Wikipedia
