I was thinking about all the Christmases I didn't get what I wanted. I remember wishing with all my heart that I'd get it. And then, I was disappointed when I got up, ran downstairs, and the thing I wanted so badly... wasn't there.

The reality is that I didn't get the thing because I was a bad kid that year or that I didn't deserve the thing I wanted.

The problem is that I didn't let anyone know what I wanted.

I was hoping everyone would, just, know.

But here's the reality, people are not mind-readers. It's unrealistic to expect people, no matter how close they are to you, to know what you need.

So, if you didn't get what you wanted, maybe it's not because you don't deserve it, but because you never verbalize what it is you wanted.

And that's the same with your dreams.

We get ideas, whether it's for a project, a pattern, a business, or even a book, but we hold it inside tight instead of sharing it with the people who can make it a reality.

This is a perfect time of the year to take stock of what you want and who can help you reach your goal. You got this!
