Pattern Grading Made Easy

Do you want to…

  • Modify existing crochet and knit patterns for your perfect fit?

  • Create original crochet and knitwear designs that are size inclusive?

  • Be more accurate and reach all the sizes you want (as many as possible)?

  • Feel more confident because you’re not piecing together a bunch of resources?

  • Feel the joy in providing a greater range of sizes to the community?

  • Command a higher price for your patterns because you have a wider range of sizes?

  • Work (more) with publications?

  • Generate more revenue, sell your patterns for more?

I know you have sweater ideas… lots of them – but you are not sure how to navigate how to size your pattern. You have questions about how much to ease (negative and positive) you should include. You want to be inclusive and honor the diversity of body sizes and shapes.

What’s special about this course? After you’ve completed the course after the 4-weeks, you can design and publish size-inclusive patterns, grade any pattern you want to your perfect fit, start offering grading services to other designers. Whether you want to grade patterns for personal use or to grow your design business, this course is for you.

Through the trainings, templates, private FB group, and past recorded Q+A, I will teach you the basics of pattern grading so you can start designing size-inclusive garments.

ABOUT ME

Hey there! Before we continue on, a bit about me and I’m qualified to teach this course.

Tian Connaughton_backyard_MarginalWay Shawl.jpg

My name is Tian Connaughton and I am a full-time designer and technical editor, podcaster and business confidence coach. Over the past decade, I've grown a successful business, earned a full-time income while doing it and helped my students do the same. I learned to grade garments the hard way with tons of trial and error. If you follow me on Instagram @KnitDesigns by Tian and listen to my podcast, Real Talk with Tian - which you should - then you know I’m all about sharing my knowledge. I’ve designed a lot of garments and tech edited even more, so I have a first hand look at the mechanics involved in making sure the size fits.

With this course, I am making pattern grading super simple so you can get the information you need to start making designs in a wide range of sizes.

So, if you want to modify that sweater pattern you just bought because it didn’t include your size or you’re wanting to develop that sweater design idea to a range of sizes beyond just your measurements, this course is for you!
