Writing Process: Crafting the Mystery

Writing Death by Drop Spindle has been a deeply rewarding journey. Inspired by my love for cozy mysteries and fiber arts, I wanted to create a story that not only entertains but also feels familiar and relatable to knitters, crocheters, and spinners. Hazel Whitmore, the protagonist, is someone many of us can identify with—a passionate creator navigating life, community, and now, an unexpected mystery. Every character and scene was crafted with care to weave together suspense, heart, and a touch of crafty magic.

A Knit Pattern Surprise
